About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Actuarial Analyst to support actuarial functions across pricing, reserving, catastrophe CAT modeling, and portfolio risk management for our P&C insurance business. The role will involve advanced analytics, exposure modeling, and collaboration with multiple business units to drive data-driven decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform actuarial analyses to support pricing, reserving, forecasting, and portfolio monitoring for P&C lines of business.
• Assist in CAT modeling using industry-standard tools (e.g., RMS, AIR, Touchstone ), including preparing exposure data, running catastrophe models, interpreting results, and integrating CAT insights into pricing and capital planning.
• Develop and maintain loss triangles, reserving models, and predictive models using actuarial/statistical tools.
• Conduct experience studies , trend analyses, and exposure analyses.
• Support rate filings , model documentation, and regulatory submissions.
• Support reinsurance structuring and evaluate CAT model outputs in relation to reinsurance optimization.
• Build reports and dashboards that communicate actuarial and CAT modeling insights to senior management, underwriting, and risk teams.
• Collaborate with underwriting, finance, and claims departments to validate assumptions and ensure alignment with business strategies.
• Contribute to capital modeling, ERM activities, and scenario testing , including CAT-related stress scenarios.
• Stay updated on emerging risks, climate trends, regulatory changes, and advances in CAT modeling methodologies.

Qualifications & Skills

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field .
• 5+ years of experience in P&C actuarial work , CAT modeling, or exposure management preferred.
• Progress toward CAS actuarial exams is strongly preferred.

Technical Skills:

• Experience with CAT modeling platforms (RMS, AIR, Touchstone) is highly desirable.
• Strong skills in Excel, SQL, Python, R, or SAS for data manipulation and analysis.
• Familiarity with actuarial software (e.g., ResQ, Emblem, Radar ) is a plus.

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Effective communication skills, including ability to explain complex modeling outputs to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
