Job Description

The Community Assistant is at the forefront of the community and responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to current residents to help maximize occupancy year over year. This role will assist in planning and participating in the execution of resident community events, maintain positive resident relations within the community and assist with daily operations within the community. You must be able to communicate and manage your time effectively. Reports to: Community Manager. Direct Reports: None. Duties/Responsibilities include: Understanding the Housing Contract and related addendums to assist residents and guarantors; promoting community resident events via social media; assisting with email and text communications; maintaining a positive community environment; resolving resident concerns and escalating as needed; performing daily opening and closing checklists; attending staff meetings; responding to inquiries; entering maintenance requests; keeping detailed activity logs; logging resident packages; enforcing community policies; adhering to Fair Housing laws; participating in move-in/move-out activities, unit inspections, make-readies including cleaning, painting, and furniture placement; and additional tasks assigned by the Community Manager. Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; pursuing a bachelor’s degree in relevant fields preferred. Preferred skills include strong organization, reliability, proficiency in Microsoft Office, Entrata experience preferred, availability for 15-20 hours per week including mornings, evenings, weekends, university closings, and turn periods; participation in on-call rotation and after-hours lockouts. Work environment includes moderate noise, physical demands such as standing, walking, sitting, handling, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, hearing, and specific vision abilities.
