Robert Half Marketing & Creative is partnering with a respected nonprofit economic development organization in Chicago to find a talented Marketing & Copywriting Associate. You’ll work alongside leadership and program teams to help communicate the organization’s impact through compelling storytelling and clear, purpose-driven messaging. This position is perfect for someone who thrives in fast-paced, hands-on environments, and is passionate about community development, small business support, and creative content.

Responsibilities

• Write and edit content for multiple platforms including social media, email campaigns, blog posts, web pages, newsletters, and press releases
• Develop branded collateral, pitch decks, and presentation materials for internal and external audiences
• Assist with event marketing, community outreach efforts, and stakeholder engagement
• Support campaign development and execution using HubSpot (or similar CRM)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure brand consistency and message clarity
• Use tools like Canva to design visuals and create polished marketing assets
• Track performance metrics and apply basic SEO to increase digital visibility
• Contribute to strategic marketing planning and team brainstorms

• Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field
• Strong writing and editing skills — writing portfolio is required
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Canva
• Exposure to HubSpot or similar platforms is a plus
• Detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects
• Comfortable working on-site in a team-oriented environment
• Interest in economic development, small business, or nonprofit work is highly preferred
