About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Sales in Automotive Engineering Services. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of redefining customer engagement and refining go-to-market strategies, particularly in the realm of software services. This pivotal role involves leading the Partnerships and Strategy functions, building strong relationships with technology providers in the automotive industry, and strategically aligning with the sales governance model. The Executive Director will also be responsible for transforming the sales engine to include a comprehensive set of software assets and for mentoring the sales team to ensure a sharp focus on deal closure strategies. A key aspect of the role is to act as a trusted advisor, both to clients and internal teams, and to create expert content for C-level discussions. To excel in this position, candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field, with a preference for a Master's degree. A minimum of 18 years' experience in new business development and sales in the software services industry, with at least 10 years in automotive software and services, is required. The role demands a proven track record in establishing and running innovative partnership models, as well as a deep understanding of current technology and consumer trends in the automotive industry. Experience with software-defined vehicles, new E/E architecture, in-cabin experience, and other market trends is essential. The ideal candidate will also have established relationships with ecosystem players and be adept at navigating the global automotive landscape.
