ANNOUNCEMENT – FIREFIGHTER PARAMEDIC RECRUITMENT:
The City of Patterson is recruiting for a Firefighter Paramedic . This safety position will respond to fire alarms, emergency medical calls, traffic accidents, rescue and other emergency calls to protect life and property. This position will also participate in training, drills, study activities, and in the maintenance of the department apparatus, equipment, and facilities. Under the supervision of the Fire Engineer or Fire Captain, provides first responder advanced life support (ALS) care to patients of medical emergencies and other medical procedures. Performs other duties as required.
The ideal candidate in this classification must exhibit composure and good situational awareness on emergency scenes to effectively respond to, support, and communicate with crews. An individual in this classification must also work effectively as part of a unit during emergencies, represent the Department professionally at public service/education events, and interact cooperatively with other City personnel and allied agencies.
Must be on the Firefighter Candidate Testing Center (FCTC) Statewide Eligibility List (SEL), at the time of application, to be eligible. For more information on how to be placed on the FCTC SEL, visit
