Descriptif

Relevant du directeur de la fiscalité situé aux États-Unis, le candidat retenu gérera toutes les questions liées à la fiscalité canadienne au sein de notre groupe de sociétés. Il s'agit d'une occasion pour un fiscaliste canadien expérimenté de faire partie d'une organisation en pleine expansion et d'être un membre clé d'une fonction fiscale mondiale en pleine croissance.

Responsabilités du poste

  • Gérer l'observation de l'impôt sur le revenu des sociétés canadiennes, y compris la coordination de la préparation des déclarations de revenus canadiennes avec des fournisseurs de services externes, le calcul et la vérification des acomptes provisionnels, etc.;
  • Aider à la provision fiscale trimestrielle et annuelle, rechercher et documenter les questions de comptabilité fiscale liées et participer activement à la provision fiscale consolidée;
  • Traiter efficacement et en temps opportun les vérifications fiscales canadiennes;
  • Analyser les avis de cotisation et les relevés de compte;
  • Communiquer avec les différentes autorités fiscales sur les questions fiscales et répondre aux demandes;
  • Participer à la mise en œuvre des processus de prix de transfert;
  • Aider à répondre aux questions relatives à la taxe à la consommation et aux taxes indirectes canadiennes;
  • Effectuer des recherches fiscales et préparer des notes de position techniques sur les questions fiscales canadiennes et internationales;
  • Participer à la perspective fiscale de divers projets stratégiques.

Expérience professionnelle et qualifications

  • Baccalauréat en comptabilité;
  • Minimum de 5 ans d'expérience en fiscalité des sociétés canadiennes;
  • Connaissance des IFRS ou des PCGR;
  • Maîtrise des outils informatiques courants, tels que Microsoft Office, avec une connaissance avancée d'Excel;
  • La connaissance des logiciels de comptabilité est un atout;
  • Le titre professionnel de CPA est un atout;
  • Des connaissances en fiscalité indirecte ou en fiscalité internationale sont un atout;
  • Des connaissances en RCCB ou en pilier II sont un atout;
  • Solides compétences en communication et bilingue en anglais et en français (écrit et parlé).

Description

Reporting to the Tax Director located in the US, the successful candidate will manage all matters related to Canadian tax within our group of companies. This is an opportunity for an experienced Canadian tax professional to be a part of a rapidly expanding organization and to be a key member of a growing global tax function.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage Canadian corporate income tax compliance, including coordinating preparation of Canadian income tax returns with outside service providers, computing and verifying instalment payments etc.;
  • Asist with the quarterly and annual tax provision, research and document related tax accounting issues and participate actively in the consolidated tax provision;
  • Dealing efficiently and timely with Canadian tax audits;
  • Analyze the notices of assessment and account statements;
  • Communicating with various tax authorities on tax-related matters and responding to the requests;
  • Participate in the implementation of transfer pricing processes;
  • Assist with commodity tax/Canadian indirect tax questions;
  • Conduct tax research and prepare technical tax position memorandums on Canadian and international tax matters;
  • Participate in the tax perspective of various strategic projects.

Professional Experience/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accountancy;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate Canadian taxation;
  • Knowledge of IFRS or GAAP;
  • Proficiency in common IT tools, such as Microsoft Office with advanced knowledge of Excel;
  • Knowledge of accounting software is an asset;
  • CPA professional designation is an asset;
  • Knowledge in indirect tax or international tax is an asset;
  • Knowledge in CbCR or Pillar II is an asset;
  • Strong communication skills and bilingual in both English and French (written and spoken).
