The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $90,000 - $110,000 per year. GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States. T his role is eligible for performance bonus.

The pay range is not guaranteed compensation or salary. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for the position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. You may be eligible for additional rewards, such as a discretionary bonus (based on eligibility) and/or equity awards.

As an Internal Sales Engineer at GEA , you will play a key role in supporting the sales team by providing technical insight, developing tailored proposals, and working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver value-driven solutions to our customers. This position serves as a vital link between Sales, Engineering, and Manufacturing, ensuring customer needs are accurately translated into feasible and competitive offerings.

This role also serves as an entry point for future growth opportunities within GEA, with a structured onboarding and development plan designed to prepare you for more advanced positions over time. This is a hybrid role requiring to work onsite at our GEA Hudson, WI facility.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Sales Support

  • Analyze customer specifications and technical requirements.
  • Develop technical proposals and quotations for both standard and customized equipment, collaborating closely with Application and Process Engineering teams.
  • Ensure documentation and offers align with GEA’s technical and quality standards.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients while supporting the onboarding of new customers.
  • Respond to technical inquiries promptly and professionally, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

Sales Coordination

  • Liaise with internal departments such as Engineering, Production, and Logistics to ensure seamless quote execution and timely deliveries.
  • Contribute to strategic sales initiatives and support the achievement of team targets, primarily within the Food & Dairy segment.

CRM and Documentation

  • Record and manage sales activities, leads, and opportunities in the CRM system with accuracy and consistency.

Compliance and Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure all offers and deliverables comply with internal standards and external regulations.
  • Actively participate in process improvements and provide feedback for future product development.

Your Profile / Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial preferred).
  • Entry-level to intermediate experience in technical sales or engineering-related roles is an asset.
