Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. We Love Our Work.

• Responsible for the tasks that are assigned by the Steward Supervisor and Executive Steward.
• Coordinate materials and equipment to maintain cleanliness/sanitation of workstation and communicate problems/concerns to supervisor or kitchen management.
• This position requires considerable physical activity on a continuous basis throughout the shift including working in confined spaces and awkward positions, requiring standing, crouching, kneeling, stooping and reaching overhead.
• Ability to comprehend product labeling instructions to enable the safe application of products.
• Maintain inventory of supplies needed to perform job function.
• Performs cleaning of kitchen equipment, including stoves, broilers, ovens, fryers, steam tables, and any other kitchen equipment assigned. Performs cleaning of floor mats and kitchen floors and walls on a nightly basis. As needed, performs deep cleaning/steam cleaning of these items.
• Moves, organizes, stores kitchen equipment in assigned locations and in an organized manner.
• Cleans, de-limes, sanitizes and performs appropriate preventive cleaning and maintenance measures on dish machines.
• Wash dish ware, flatware, pots and pans and other kitchen/service utensils as required/assigned.
• Performs special cleaning projects in other areas of the operation including bars, dining areas, and any other areas as assigned by leadership.
• Insure "Wet Floor" signs and other markers are used.
• Make sure kitchen workers have and use the proper equipment necessary for the job (gloves, goggles, chemicals, etc.).
• Ensure that all equipment functions properly.
• Maintain the levels and standards of cleanliness and safety set by Cactus Petes Casino and the Health Department.
