Job Summary

A.W. Cleaners in Finksburg, MD, is seeking a seasoned, reliable, and detail-oriented Laundry Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you will transport cleaning orders to the homes of our valued customers. You will utilize simple route planning software to manage deliveries and ensure exceptional customer service. This role is ideal for an individual who enjoys being on the road, a casual and supportive work environment, and takes pride in delivering prompt service. Applicants should be ready to start work within two weeks of receiving an offer of employment.

Responsibilities 

• Safely and efficiently operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to customers.
• Load and unload light cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items.
• Utilize the company van and basic route planning software to follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries.
• Adhere to delivery schedules.
• Provide exceptional customer service by delivering packages with a friendly and professional attitude.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including proof of delivery documentation.
• Comply with all company policies and driving laws. 
• Maintain the cleanliness of the delivery vehicle. 

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
• Strong communication skills to interact with customers in a professional manner.
• Comfortable using GPS or smartphone apps for navigation.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Willingness to travel regularly and drive long distances.
• Excellent time management skills to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Ability to occasionally lift laundry bags weighing up to 30 pounds.
