Job Description

LHH is partnering with a great law firm looking for a Legal Assistant in Seattle, WA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate attorney support through the Attorney Resource Team and other departments (e.g., calendar and billing).
  • Submit complete and accurate requests with clear documentation to the Attorney Resource Team.
  • Communicate with case teams to avoid duplicate submissions.
  • Verify court and administrative deadlines and alert attorneys accordingly.
  • Create and maintain litigation matters in Virtual Binder.
  • Prepare accurate and timely Tables of Contents (TOCs) and Tables of Authorities (TOAs).
  • Finalize and coordinate court and agency filings, including e-filing and service of documents.
  • Ensure timely filing of documents in NetDocuments.
  • Submit New Client Matters (NCMs) in compliance with firm standards.
  • Coordinate transcription of audio recordings and document assembly with office services.
  • Maintain attorney contact lists in Outlook and CRM systems (e.g., InterAction).
  • Submit daily task logs detailing assignments and progress.
  • May assist in reviewing and revising client pre-bills.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in a professional legal or corporate environment.
  • Proven ability to support multiple attorneys and manage competing priorities.
  • Strong time management and proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Advanced proficiency with Best Authority for TOCs and TOAs.
  • In-depth knowledge of court rules and electronic filing procedures (ECF).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Adobe, and document management systems (e.g., NetDocuments).
  • Experience with Forte for legal document creation.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Job Details:

  • Hybrid, Mon-Fri, 2-3 days in office
  • Contract through 9/10
  • Pay: $35 - $44 an hour
  • Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits, and 401K plan.
