The Opportunity at Hand We are seeking passionate, empathetic individuals to serve as Ophthalmic Technicians and Scribes. Techs manage all pre‑exam elements of patient visits: gathering and documenting patient history, performing routine and ancillary testing, accompanying providers, and transcribing diagnoses and prescriptions. Our Expectations of You Test and record patient visual acuity (far, near, peripheral, depth, color) Apply anesthetics, dilators, and collect specimens for testing Triage emergency cases and maintain patient flow Prepare patient and procedure rooms, assist ophthalmologists during procedures Maintain ophthalmic equipment and report malfunctions Practice infection control, universal precautions, and maintain confidentiality What You'll Need To Succeed Excellent verbal and written communication skills Outgoing, patient‑focused demeanor with a white‑glove service mindset Dependable problem‑solver who remains calm in stressful situations Positive, can‑do attitude and ability to collaborate in a team environment Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities Knowledge of ocular pharmacology is a plus (anesthetics, steroids, antibiotics, mydriatics, cycloplegics, etc.) Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 10 lb; frequent sitting required Who We Are Our global team includes experts with a combined 200 years of eye industry experience.
