Overview
We are a small training company that trains out of a private facility in downtown Guelph. If you're tired of training in big box gyms, we may be the place for you.

We are seeking trainers who desire to work in a small and personal environment.

Something super important to us is that we focus on the “personal” aspect of personal training. We are not looking for “form robots” where you come in and correct form, and that's it. We provide and encourage an environment where you are able to form real relationships with your clients.

Our mission is to help people lead a healthier lifestyle and help them achieve their fitness and health goals in a sustainable way. We are expanding our team and looking for trainers who are very passionate about fitness and helping others through their health journey.

Your role will be to coach our small group personal training program. These are small groups of up to 6 people that you will take through a program written by our head trainer. You will be required to make modifications on the fly if clients have restrictions and cannot perform a written exercise.

Responsibilities

• Instruct group fitness sessions for members of all levels, while helping, encouraging, motivating, and teaching clients to challenge themselves, improve form and technique, and learn new things while working towards getting results.
• Ensure workouts start and end on time and provide a consistently high quality of training throughout every session.
• Lead fun and energetic workout sessions for members to get in shape and enjoy themselves.
• Build a personal relationship with clients to help build and nurture our amazing and friendly member community.
• Set up and clean up before and after group workouts.
• Potential opening and closing of the gym if you are the first to arrive or last to leave for the day
• Minor cleaning tasks such as wiping mats, filling spray bottles, or cleaning up spills.

Qualifications

• 1+ year(s) of experience group or 1:1 personal training environments
• Valid CPR certification
• Valid nationally recognized personal training certification
• A university degree in a health-related field is preferred
• Superior communication and personal skills to form connections with members, but also to help them through those tough moments that can occur in a fitness journey
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
• A passion for fitness and helping others

Physical requirements

• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs

Your availability

• Weekday mornings, weekday evenings, and Saturday mornings are preferred, but some flexibility is available.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
