Job Description

Safety Coordinator

LHH is seeking a detail-oriented and committed Safety Coordinator to join a leading manufacturing organization! This is an exciting opportunity for a safety-driven professional who is passionate about promoting a secure work environment. In this role, you will support the development and enforcement of health and safety programs that protect our employees and ensure regulatory compliance.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining safety policies and procedures aligned with OSHA and other regulatory standards.
  • Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support and deliver safety training programs to employees to reinforce safe work practices and compliance.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture by collaborating with departments across the organization.
  • Help investigate workplace incidents and near-misses, documenting findings and implementing preventive solutions.
  • Track and report on safety metrics to leadership to monitor performance and identify trends.
  • Stay informed of current industry best practices and regulatory updates.
  • Assist with emergency response planning, including conducting drills and maintaining readiness protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in a safety-related role, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety management systems.
  • Strong attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to promote workplace safety.
  • Safety certifications (e.g., OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, etc.) are a plus.

Employment Type: Full-time

Salary: Starting at $50,000 based on experience
