One of our dedicated and experienced staffing specialists is ready to match your medical expertise and goals with exciting and rewarding opportunities. 25/26 School Year Location: Gurnee, IL Requirements: Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work or a mental health related field such as Psychology, Counseling, etc. Must possess a valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL). Experience with preschool and school-aged populations is preferred. Must possess strong communication and organizational skills. Must demonstrate initiative and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Must have the ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time; see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone; and the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; May include frequent walking, standing, stooping, lifting up to approximately 25 pounds and occasional lifting of equipment and/or materials weighing up to approximately 40 pounds may be required. Job Description: Caseload and details of position/classroom type will differ based on school location. Contract follows the academic district calendar – 37.5 to 40 hours per week. Key Responsibilities: Help students with social, emotional, and behavioral needs. Assist students through early identification, prevention, intervention, counseling, and support. Develop and teach intervention strategies to help students achieve academic goals. Work with family members and other individuals in child’s life to help support their development, learning, and adjustment.
