Job Description
Medical Practice seeks Scribe/Medical Assistant to work for an Infectious Diseases group in Miami Shores. Ideal candidate must understand medical terminology and be familiar with laboratory requisitions and e-prescribing. Mush have strong EHR experience (we use eClinicalWorks) and versatile computer skills. Must be able to scribe and write routine reports and correspondence under the direction of the physician. Ideal position for Nursing, or pre-med students too.
Duties will include taking and recording vital signs, take dictation and document medical information in the EHR while the physician is examining the patient. Knowledge of MIPS and Hedis helpful. Responsible also for booking and confirming appointments, obtaining referrals, assisting with answering the phone and constant liaison between doctors and patients to ensure proper coordination of care.
