Location: Saratoga Springs, NY or Woodcliff Lake, NJ

Join our national Geospatial Science Team as a Geospatial Analyst, supporting projects with cartography, data management, field data collection, spatial analysis, and Enterprise GIS. Responsibilities:

As a Mid/Senior-level Geospatial Analyst, you will support large-scale projects across the country as a member of our national Geospatial Science Team (GST). Applying GIS to collaborate with our various Practice Areas, which include Engineering, Environmental Sciences, and Natural Resources, you will have the opportunity to share your experience and grow with us around the application of GIS in a range of interesting and challenging projects. We are seeking someone who can readily support the expanding needs of our remediation-focused projects, and the position entails the following:

  • Working in a fast-paced environment that involves organizing and prioritizing work with tight deadlines, managing competing priorities, and delegating appropriate staff as needed to best support your projects.
  • Proactively guide project teams with the implementation of GIS over evolving project goals and timelines. Typical project tasks include data acquisition and collection, data management, version control, spatial analysis, web application visualization, and reporting/mapping.
  • Perform quality review of GIS work products and analysis tasks.
  • Support and proactively seek overall success of the team
  • Provide a demonstrated commitment to quality and efficiency.
  • Cultivating a friendly, supportive, and fun work environment through open communication and teamwork within and external to Anchor QEA.

What Are We Looking For?

Ideal candidates will have the following:

Required:

  • Minimum Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in a field related to the environment Experience may be substituted for education for exceptional candidates.
  • Demonstrate at least 7 to 10 years of progressive experience with ArcGIS Desktop/Pro applications, including Spatial Analyst or 3D Analyst, while working in an environmental, engineering, or natural resources consulting or equivalent industry.
  • Demonstrate effective leadership and innovation in the application of GIS on project teams.
  • Demonstrate advanced understanding of geodatabase design and feature class data management.
  • Understanding of Python for ArcGIS (ArcPy and ArcGIS API for Python) and SQL programming languages.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills, spatial problem solving, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred:

  • Master of Science degree in a field related to the environment. Classwork in chemistry or geology at the B.S level a plus.
  • State led hazardous waste sites or Federal RCRA/Superfund Site experience.
  • Familiarity working with EarthSoft’s EQuIS environmental databases in GIS.
  • Experience managing data within an Enterprise GIS, including Portal/AGOL, and SDE geodatabases for deployment on large-scale environmental projects.
  • Demonstration of understanding with current and future trends and innovations within Geospatial Science and Esri technology.

Salary and Other Compensation:

  • $ 79,900 - $ 89,900
  • Annual Bonus
  • Other potential bonus types: Billable Time Bonus, Spot Bonus, Milestone Anniversary Bonus, Receiving Professional License/Certification Bonus, Peer-reviewed Publication Bonus, Employee Referral Bonus.

Base Level Benefits for Regular Full-Time Positions:
