◦ Extend wired and wireless network coverage, with a focus on performance, scalability, and security.
◦ Implement wireless solutions to provide seamless coverage throughout multiple floors and basement levels.
• Firewall & Security Configuration:
◦ Review, configure, and optimize Palo Alto Networks firewalls, including security policies, NAT rules, threat prevention, and VPN.
◦ Ensure compliance with security best practices, zoning, and segmentation strategies.
• Switching Infrastructure:
◦ Install, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco Meraki switches, including VLAN setup, port configurations, QoS, and uplink optimization.
• Onsite Support & Coordination:
◦ Collaborate with IT and facilities teams for cabling, rack installs, and network extension efforts.
◦ Provide detailed documentation of the new network topology and configuration changes.
◦ Be physically present onsite 2–3 days per week to assess coverage, validate installs, and perform hands-on tasks.
Required Skills & Experience:
• 7+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering roles.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Palo Alto Networks firewalls, including advanced security modules and Panorama management (preferred).
• Proficiency in deploying and managing Cisco Meraki switches and wireless access points.
• Experience with structured cabling planning, switch stacking, and high-availability design.
• Ability to conduct wireless site surveys and validate coverage (Ekahau or similar tools a plus).
• Knowledge of VLANs, routing protocols (OSPF/BGP), subnetting, and general Layer 2/3 troubleshooting.
• Understanding of zero trust principles and secure network segmentation strategies.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
Nice to Have:
• PAN Certified (e.g., PCNSE)
• Meraki CMNA or CCNA/CCNP certifications
