Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Software Asset Management Analyst to join our Tech Vendor Management team with atleast 5+ years of experience. 

Responsibilities:

• Layer generative‑AI on Flexera One to auto‑build license positions and surface executive‑ready dashboards for risk identification and remediation work

• Layer generative-AI on FlexeraOne to perform a series of actions to validate PO/entitlement information from Coupa or reseller reports

• Automate data normalization processes as it relates to utilizing raw reports (e.g. ServiceNow CMDB, Wiz, JAMF)

• Automate manual processes around remediation: trigger and track stakeholder remediation via user surveys, email nudges, and track signoffs/project plans/dates

• Create reusable AI prompt libraries to replace labor-intensive license research

• Train current team members to be more AI-proficient and use automated processes

• Proactive and detailed documentation

• Systems: FlexeraOne, CMDB, Wiz, JAMF, Microsoft Excel and PPT, SharePoint, Confluence, GitHub

Requirements:

• Overall AI fluency and a proven record of using AI to accelerate teams

• Flexera One & ITAM (entitlement/consumption APIs, license position workflows, software lifecycle management)

• Generative-AI/Prompt Engineering (crafting reusable prompts using Azure OpenAI)

• Python & PowerShell (lightweight scriptiong, REST API calls, data wrangling from Flexera)

• Data Engineering & BI (Power BI, SQL basics, data-quality checks)

• Git & GitHub (branching, pull-request flow)

• License metric mastery

• Audit & remediation tactics

• Cost-optimization levers (BYOL, virtual environment pitfalls)

• Stakeholder storytelling

• Continuous-improvement habit (maintains proper documentation and backlog of AI use-cases and measures ROI quarterly)

Skills

• Flexera API Python Toolkit - single file script set (version-tracked in GitHub) that:

  • Pulls entitlements, consumption, and contract data nightly via GitHub Actions

  • Normalizes into a "gold" CSV for downstream dashboards

• AI-Driven License True-Up Forecaster - Power BI page that uses AI-generated usage projections to predict anniversary/holiday peak usage and next-year true up spend. Automated license positions and remediation worksheets for stakeholders.

• "Ask-SAM" ChatBot - Slack bot backed by Azure OpenAI that answers real-time license & contract questions, cites Flexera records, and logs Q&A for knowledge capture

• Automated Stakeholder Outreach Pack

  • Dynamic email templates (HTML + prompt placeholders) that auto-insert product, user count, and recommended action

  • GitHub workflow dispatches emails and writes response status to a tracking sheet

  • Follow-ups if response not received or remediation not completed

• EOL Risk Heat Map - color coded matrix highlighting software versions nearing end-of-support, utilizing IT Visibility data from FlexeraOne, with hyperlinks to vendor advisories that automatically get sent to PCI app owners

• Compliance Savings Dashboard - KPI tiles showing quarterly audit-risk reduction ((USD)) and cost avoidance from reclaimed licenses

• Prompt Library - markdown catalog in GitHub with >20 ready to use prompts (e.g. "Summarize license metric", "Draft remediation plan email", "Create user survey"), each tagged by use case and reviewed via pull request.

• Runbook & Documentation and Training - Covering how to run API toolkit, refreshing dashboards, using prompts, and troubleshooting workflows.

• Quaterly ROI Report - one pager quantifying hours saved, tickets closed in ServiceNow, license positions delivered, risk quantified, and dollars avoided due to AI automation, delivered to VP & CTO.
