Overview:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Writer – Cyber Security to support documentation, governance, and project initiatives for The Client, a leading organization in the information security space.
  • This contract role is ideal for a seasoned professional with deep knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, documentation standards, and project coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, edit, and maintain technical documentation including cybersecurity governance artifacts such as procedures, playbooks, and operational guides.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional security teams to extract technical information and translate it into clear, actionable documents.

  • Organize, manage, and track small-scale projects with attention to deadlines, documentation accuracy, and stakeholder engagement.

  • Lead and facilitate meetings with internal teams to gather input and provide status updates on document development and project milestones.

  • Utilize tools such as SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, PowerPoint, Visio, and Excel to support documentation and reporting efforts.

Required Skills Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of professional experience as a Technical Writer, with focus in Cybersecurity, IT Security, or Data Governance.

  • Demonstrated ability to write and structure security documentation that complies with regulatory or organizational frameworks.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills with ability to influence various levels of the organization.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables simultaneously with minimal supervision.

  • Power user of Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Visio, Teams).

  • Experience leading meetings and coordinating across multiple security or technical departments.

  • Solid project management skills and familiarity with PM methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience supporting security programs for enterprise-level clients.

  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or PMP are a plus.
