Ultimate Staffing is seeking a Test Technician for our client in San Jose. This is a temp to hire position. Hours are Monday - Friday 5:00 am - 1:30 pm. Pay rate is $30 - $35/hour.

Functions & Responsibilities:

• Conduct Hi-Pot (High Potential) testing to ensure electrical insulation integrity.

• Set up, operate, and maintain Hi-Pot testing equipment.

• Analyze test results, document findings, and report discrepancies.

• Troubleshoot electrical components and systems to identify faults.

• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to refine testing procedures.

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.

• Assist in developing and improving test protocols.

Experience & Educational Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Hi-Pot testing in an industrial or manufacturing setting.

• Education: Associate's degree Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.

• Strong understanding of electrical safety protocols and insulation testing principles.

• Proficiency in using testing and measurement equipment.

• Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

• Detail oriented and strong work ethic.

• Experience using Microsoft office products such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.

• Must have the flexibility to work morning and swing shifts

Organizational Relationships:

• This person will report directly to their Quality Supervisor.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

• Must be able to stand for a long period of time.

• Must be able to work with hands doing repeated actions.

• Pay: $33.00 - $35.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shifts: Morning shift schedule 5am to 1:30pm and swing shift 1:30pm to 10pm

• Possible weekday and Saturday overtime.
