Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department

Summary:

We are seeking experienced Emergency Department RNs to join our team at Ascension Genesys Hospital. In this role, you will deliver compassionate and high-quality patient care within a fast-paced, Level II Trauma Center environment. This is a union facility that values collaboration and clinical excellence.

 

Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation)
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses
• Document care accurately and in a timely manner
• Adapt quickly to changing priorities and patient needs
• Float between ED and ED Obs as needed

Required Experience:

• Minimum 2 years recent Emergency Department nursing experience
• Hospital experience is required

Required Certifications:

• Michigan RN License (active and in good standing)
• BLS (American Heart Association)
• ACLS

Unit Details:

• Patient Ratio: 1:5 (subject to change based on acuity and caseload)
• Facility Type: Level II Trauma Center
• Union Facility: Yes
