We are a successful Commercial Construction company with offices located in metro Atlanta, Florida, Virginia and Ohio. We specialize in restaurant construction with well-respected national clients, including Chick-fil-A and Chipotle. This position will office in Alpharetta, GA.

Job Purpose

The Assistant Electrical Project Manager will work with the Electrical Project Manager to oversee all aspects of commercial electrical projects from commencement to completion including project planning, scope development, scheduling, budgeting and management.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Works with Electrical Project Manager to determine the scope of work.
• Obtains all necessary information to estimate work required including quantity and specifications of materials needed.
• Sets-up job(s).
• Confirms lead times and shops suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and quality.
• Orders materials.
• The Assistant Project Manager will determine the appropriate resource to be assigned to open jobs based on skillset required and availability.
• Works with Electrical Project Manager to determine schedule of project; communicates project specifics, scope and schedule to assigned Electrician.
• Communicates with Client and Store team as required on project plan and provides routine updates.
• Follows up through completion resolving any issues or additional work required.
• As time permits, performs site visits to ensure quality standards are met.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• 3-5 years experience in a commercial electrical environment.
• Prior field electrical experience is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills and ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the project team from clients to field staff.
• Strong organizational skills; ability to juggle multiple project simultaneously in various stages without sacrificing quality or service.
• Strong scheduling abilities of subcontractors, internal resources, vendors and material suppliers.
• Works with field personnel to track progress of ongoing jobs.
• Organizes workload to comply with deadlines and established priorities.
• Highly motivated and self-directed.
• Deadline oriented with ability to follow-through to successful completion.
• Able to assist in promoting work and obtain future opportunities by providing quality service and support.
• Practices the Company’s Mission, Vision and Values.
• Works as a team member in meeting the needs of the company.
• Professional stability and dedication.
• Willingness to work beyond standard office hours as needs arise.
